David was the king of Israel. I can relate to King David because of the many battles of life and learning to bring them before the Lord God (in Christ), sin and all. Remorseful words, healing words, doubt, lust, etc. David was real with God! I marvel and learn from Kind David. Sometimes, I only need to hear one sentence and carry that sentence all day and night, for understanding and comfort.
