The First Seal and a President by Cliff Tompkins

February 7, 2026

What are we facing today? For those of us who love the word of God, we know his voice and we know that the day of salvation and judgment are also measured in God’s word. It’s exciting for me, knowing that we are living in the very last hour of humanity on earth. And, we don’t know the exact date and time of Christ’s return, but what we do know is that prophecy is unfolding in this last hour, and soon, we will witness Jesus Christ breaking the 7 Seals before the throne of God. When I find myself dwelling in fear, I must and I do, turn to the promises of God. I will cast all of my cares on him (1 Peter 5:7).

I can remember when it seemed as if there was a church on almost every corner. Today, I look and even the mega churches are falling apart. That doesn’t surprise me, I never felt comfortable in a “mega” church. I’ve never felt the presence of the Holy Spirit, like I once did, in a “old fashioned” Bible preaching church.

This year marks 250 years that our nation signed an agreement to become “one nation under God.” It grieves me that our constitution never makes mention of Jesus Christ, and today, like the “mega church” we witness the decay. Furthermore, at a 4 year term, President George Washington, our founding father, bequeathed his slaves to his wife, Martha. As history would have it, Martha freed her inherited slaves (January 1,1801). Slavery was popular until December of 1865, when President Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery. From 1776, until today 2026, the US Constitution has proved its hypocritical agenda is falling. Today, we have a completely divided house, and President Abraham Lincoln (“honest Abe”) warned against the biblical teaching of a divided house (Matthew 12:22-28, Holy Bible), “A house divided against itself cannot stand” (1863, A. Lincoln).

Today, we have the exploitation of children. We have our government aisles putting children in harms way, and vanity taking precedence over sound doctrine. The Bible makes it clear that the apostasy is like a hour glass for the believer, including the filth, now condoned by many, and in many cases made legal. As we continue to witness the moral decay from one president to another, we also continue to watch our national debt spin out of control. We continue to watch the infighting and global rhetoric that is leading the fight to control global dominance. The Bible tells us about these sorrows and what is to follow, The Great Tribulation. Nevertheless, the time has come. Are you prepared to die, if death calls on you? Where will you be escorted to?

The First Seal and the anti-Christ, this is what the believer is watching and waiting for. Who believes that the United States of America will become a third world environment? I do, and furthermore, once the First Seal is broken, we can know that the 4 angels on the Euphrates River are preparing for their part, famine, death and the vengeance of the living God, through the 7 Seals of prophecy. Once the First Seal is broken, we know that Christ tells us that he will return to judge the world at 7 years and that includes the timing and the breaking of the covenant that the anti-Christ has with Israel. We will continue to watch the unrest and careless acts of humanity foster around the events prophesied, and for the believer, to continue and walk in faith, walking by faith and not by sight. For the believer, that can be complicated and I suffer and struggle with the imminent, and “letting go and letting God.” I’m only in control of my own actions. I can’t control the actions of a vain president or the actions of greed in an artificial world of intelligence. For now, we (I) wait upon the Lord. We must continue to read and re-read his word and follow the Holy Spirit by keeping alert and our thought process. I praise God and will continue to praise God to keep myself Holy, without substance. It is not beneath me to admit that I am a recovering addict. That is the first step for anyone who wants to change, admitting fault. The growth follows the truth.

Follower in Christ, we must be Holy like God (1 Peter 1:15-16). When we use our weakness as a crutch, we don’t grow. That doesn’t mean that when I fall down, my study is to stay down. No, I may falter, but I am so close to victory that I can’t quit now. And it’s more than believing. For example, I may allow some impure thoughts that play in my mind and yes, that is ungodly enough. Going deeper, I also know that when you love someone, like I love God, through Jesus Christ; the last thing that I would ever do is wanting to hurt my Lord.

I see myself standing at the foot of the cross at calvary, my tears are controlling me. I see him look into my eyes, and I am sorry. I too, now knowing the Lord, I want to please him and I love praising him. And even more, that means, I need to wait on him and worship him within my soul all day and all night long. Jesus Christ is on my mind, day and night and 24 hours a day, that is how much I love him, and, that is how much I long for him.

When I feel Christ’s strong presence, he comes with hope, love and strong virtue. I love that. God’s presence is in the Holy Spirit and often faith requires perseverance. It’s through that perseverance in faith that God makes life clear. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Amen.

In Christ,
